Shell in diesel oil supply talks with Pertamina

Media Relations, External Affairs and Communication Manager of PT Shell Indonesia, Fathia Syarif said on Friday the company was negotiating the possible sale with Pertamina. ?We are in talk with Pertamina over the plan,? Syarif said, refusing to unveil the price.
She said Shell was responding to the Ministry of Energy?s call for corporations operating in Indonesia to absorb Pertamina?s excess diesel stock.
Separately, Pertamina VP communication Anang Rizkani Noor said that five firms have bought diesel oil for March-April period. The five companies are PT Jagad Energy (3,800 kiloliters), PT AKR Corporindo Tbk (60,000 kls), PT Medco Sarana Kalibaru (2,000 kls), PT Petronas Niaga Indonesia (30,000 kls) and PT Toyota Tsusho Indonesia (10,000 kls).
?Total volume, which is bought by five companies are 103,800 kls. We sold the fuel with discount price,? he said, without mention detail prices.
To date, Pertamina still excesses diesel oil stock of 9 days from normal stock of 20-25 days. ?We continue to seek new potential buyers,? he added. (Bernard)
