5 Power Purchasing Agreements to be signed soon

State owned electricity firm PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) will sign Power Purchasing Agreements (PPA) on five power plant projects as part of the 35,000 MW power plant development program.

This was said by Director General of Electricity Djarman on Tuesday.

The five power projects are:
1. PLTB Samas biomass power plant (50 MW, Yogyakarta)
2. PLTA Malesa hydropower plant (90 MW, South Sulawesi)
3. PLTA Hasang hydropower plant (40 MW, North Sumatra)
4. PLTU Jawa-1 coal-fired power plant (1000 MW, Cirebon, West Java)
5. PLTU Kendari coal-fired power plant (100 MW, Southeast Sulewesi)

Besides, Djarman saaid there are two EPC contracts for power plant projects that will be signed in the near future. The pojects are PLTGU Grati (450 MW) dan PLTA Jati Gede( 2x55 MW).

Djarman did not provide the names of the owners of each projects.
