63 CCoW holders agree contract renegotiation: Govt

The government has announced that 63 companies holding coal contract of work (CCoW) had agreed to re-negotiate their contract as required by the Law No. 4/ 2009 on mineral and coal, the official at the directorate of mineral and at the energy and mineral resources ministry has said.
?The last position is 63 companies have agreed with all articles on contract amendment, while 13 others agree only certain articles. We will continue renegotiating the contract with them,? the official said.
There are currently 76 coal companies holding the CCoW of which 49 companies have been in operational phase, 13 firms were still on construction phase, 9 others on feasibility study with the remaining of 5 companies on exploration phase. (adianto)
