677 companies to take part in mining expo

At least 677 foreign and local companies will take part in an energy and mining expo which will be held at the Jakarta International Exhibition Center in Kemayoran, Jakarta later next month, Neraca reported on Wednesday.

Foreign participants at the Energy and Mining Indonesia exhibition which will open from Oct. 1 through Oct. 4, will include companies from Germany, Poland and the Netherlands and their Indonesian representatives.

Indonesian?s major energy and mining companies such as Pertamina, Perusahaan Gas Negara, PLN would also take part in the exhibition, in addition to some members of the Indonesian Mining Association (IMA).

The organizing committee PT Pamerindo Buana Abadi said that a conference with the theme ?The Indonesian Mining Industry: Challenges Going Forward? will be held as part of the exhibition. The conference will be held on Oct. 1 and Oct. 2 also at the Jakarta International Exhibition Center. (*)
