8 firms eyeing Cirebon-Bekasi gas pipeline project

Downstream oil, gas regulator BPH Migas said that eight companies have registered to participate in the tender to auction right to develop a 220-km gas pipeline that will link Cirebon with Bekasi.
BPH Migas Chairman Tubagus Haryono told Petromindo.Com on Thursday that among the companies are: Pertamina?s subsidiary PT.Pertagas, state gas distribution firm PGN, PT.Bakrie and Brothers, PT.Adhi Karya, PT. Nawaksara and Muladi Group.
A BPH Migas official said earlier that bid submission would be closed February 15, 2008.
Bidders will be required to acquire land measuring 9 meters times 220-kms to lay the pipe.
BPH Migas is targeting the completion of the Muara Bekasi-Cirebon pipeline project by 2010. The project will be part of the country's integrated gas pipelines which will connect gas producers in Kalimantan and Sumatra and industrial users in Java. (godang)
