8 wells to be drilled in North Sumatra

Up to eight exploration wells in North Sumatra are targeted to be drilled until the end of the year, according to BPMIGAS Head of Representative for Northern Sumatra Nurhuda.

The drillings will be carried out by Petronas Carigali, PT Pertamina EP, Mosesa Petroleum, and Pacific Oil and Gas. Petronas will drill one well, Tanjung Perling, in Deli Serdang regency.

Pertamina EP will drill three wells, Adenium, Benggala, and Garcinia, all located in Langkat regency, while Mosesa Petroleum in Tonga 1, Tonga 3 and Tonga 4 wells, within the Tonga block.

Meanwhile, Pacific Oil and Gas plans to do exploration drilling in Parit Minyak well, Kisaran block, Labuhan Batu Utara regency.
