A consortium to build Amurang power plant

A consortium of PT Mega Power International (MPI), PT Cogindo Daya Bersama, and PT Bagus Karya will develop a 2 X 30 Megawatt Amurang combined cycle power plant in Amurang Barat district of Minahasa Selatan regency, North Sulawesi.

Based on their contract, state utility PT PLN will be leasing the Amurang power plant for 9 years after COD with a contract value based on volume of 5.2437 cent USD/kWh.

The Amurang power plant is scheduled to start operation in 2014 with a power generation capacity of 363.59 GWh per year.

PLN President Director Nur Pamudji, PT Mega Power International President Director Heni Kusuma Caya, and PT Mega Power International Commissioner Lee Seung Se signed the power plant leasing contract in Jakarta over the weekend.
