The victim was later found that his name is Abdul Majid, 40, from Makassar, South Sulawesi.

PTNNT?s public relations affairs manager Kasan Mulyono said in a statement Monday that PTNNT regrettably announced that a worker employed by a contractor in a mining field operated by PTNNT had been reportedly missing when an excavator fell in a mining pool because an access road built by using the excavator collapsed at 12.20 p.m. Saturday.

Kasan said that the missing worker was finally found by PTNNT?s emergency and response team at 2:25 p.m. on Monday.

Mine inspectors from local, regional and national mining departments, the local police, as well as PTNNT are continuing their investigations. (*)
