A total of 85 consortiums compete for Sumatra solar PV projects

A total of 85 consortiums have submitted pre-qualification tender documents to state-owned electricity company PT PLN for the planned Sumatra solar PV power plant (PLTS) projects with combined capacity of 167.58 MW.
?A total of 85 consortiums will be evaluated this week to select which ones meet requirements to move forward as PLTS developers,? said Head of Renewables Division at PLN, Tohari Hadiat to Petromindo.com on Tuesday.
PLN opened PQ tender on May 26-June 2 for the development of the Sumatra PLTS projects. A total of 212 companies registered to participate in the tender, but only 85 returned the PQ tender documents.
The projects are divided into six packages including package 1 in Aceh with capacity of 20 MW; package 2 in North Sumatera with capacity 35 MW; package 3 in Riau, Riau Islands, and Bangka Belitung with capacity 38.68 MW; package 4 in West Sumatra with capacity 16 MW; package 5 in South Sumatra, Jambi and Bengkulu (S2JB) with capacity 33 MW; and package 6 in Lampung with capacity of 24.9 MW.
Tohari said that there were 13 consortiums participated in the package 1 projects, 21 in package 2, 18 in package 3, 10 in package 4, 14 in package 5, and 9 in package 6.
