Aabar submits E. Kalimantan gas field PoD

UAE-based oil firm Aabar Petroleum Investments Company reported on Tuesday it had submitted plan of development (PoD) for contingent gas resources in the newly named Ruby field in the Sebuku production sharing contract offshore east Kalimantan.

The company did not give further detail.

Aabar, through its subsidiary PEARL Oil, has 100 percent interest in Sebuku.

Meanwhile, the company also reported that oil, gas authority has approved the start of production at the Mengoepeh South discovery, in Tungkal PSC South Sumatra, where a single exploration well in May confirmed a new oil accumulation 2.5 km south of the existing Mengoepeh field.(denny)
