ABB wins $1.5 million integrated contract for Kodeco?s Poleng C field

Power and automation technology group ABB said Friday it had received a contract worth US$1.5 million from PT Sempec Indonesia to provide integrated electrical and control buildings with electrical, automation and safety systems, monitoring and controls for the Poleng C field offshore East Java.
The field, which is a part of West Madura PSC, is operated by Korea Development Company Ltd (Kodeco).
?This project reinforces our broad expertise in providing integrated advanced solutions to the world?s energy industries,? Sandy Taylor, the group Vice President of Oil & Gas Industries - Process Automation division, said in a statement.
According to the statement, ABB?s scope of supply includes integrated 800xA automation & safety systems, 380V switchgear, motor control centers (MCC) and distribution boards in two fully assembled E-houses, one control building and one electrical building.
It said the project is expected to be operational in March 2007. (Robert)
