Abdul Hamid Batubara appointed new CPI President

US energy giant Chevron Corp. has appointed Abdul Hamid Batubara as President Director of PT Chevron Pacific Indonesia (CPI) effective March 5, 2010 to replace Suwito Anggoro who entered retirement age.
Prior to his appointment, Hamid, who has been working with Chevron for 28 years, was Senior Vice President Sumatra Operations Support.
CPI is Indonesia?s top crude producer, contributing more than a third of the country?s production.
Hamid, born 52 years ago in Bandung, joined Chevron as Computer Analysts Programmer in 1982 after graduating from Electrical Engineering Department, Bandung Institute of Technology. Hamid earned his MBA degree from Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh in 1999. (godang)
