ABK plans to ship 325,000 tons of coal in November

East Kalimantan coal producer PT Anugerah Bara Kaltim (ABK) plans to export around 325,000 tons of coal using three panamax size and one capsize vessels later this month.

The coal will mostly shipped to power generation company (Gencos) of South Korea, ABK?s General Manager Martusin Yapriadi said on Wednesday.

Overall, ABK and its subsidiary PT Jembayan Muarabara had planned seven coal shipments this month, using six panamax size and one cape size vessels, Martusin said, adding that of the seven planned shipments, three had been completed.

Martusin said ABK?s coal output for October this year reached 353,380 tons, up from the year-ago output of 224,140 tons .

ABK?s cumulative output as of October this year reached 2.593 million tons.

ABK?s coal has a calorie content of between 5,900 and 6,300 per kilogram.

The company has targeted to produce 3 million tons of coal this year, up from last year's realized output of 2.8 million tons. (denny)
