ABK sets to increase 2009 coal production

East Kalimantan coal miner PT Anugerah Bara Kaltim (ABK) sets its 2009 production at installed capacity of 3.2-3.3 million tonnes, higher than last year?s production of 2.5 million tonnes.

A company official told Petromindo.Com on Thursday that last year the company failed to meet production target of 3MT due to unfavorable weather condition.

The company sells majority of its coal production under long-term contracts to South Korean power firm Kosep, Taiwan, Japan and India. (denny)
