ABK to produce 5 MT of coal next year

East Kalimantan-based coal miner PT Anugerah Bara Kaltim (ABK) plans to produce 5.2 million tonnes of coal next year, same with this year?s target of 5.2-5.4 million tonnes, the company?s official told Petromindo.Com.
Out of the total 5.2 million tonnes, ABK?s unit PT Gerbang Daya Mandiri (GDM) will produce around 500,000 tonnes next year, the official said. GDM mine is located near Samarinda or about 20 kilometers from ABK?s current mine.
The official said that this year?s production target is on track to produce 5.2-5.4 million tonnes of coal.
Mining contractor PT Pamapersada Nusantara (Pama) handles 75 percent of ABK?s total production and the remaining is handled by two local contractors including PT Nusa Perdana Indah.
All the coal from ABK has been signed up with a buyer overseas under a long-term contract, the official said without identifying the buyer?s names. (denny)
