ABM Investama coal unit to start commercial production this year

Coal miner PT Mifa Bersaudara plans to start commercial production this year at its concession in Aceh, setting output target of 3 million tons, according to President Director Slamet Haryadi as quoted by Kontan daily Saturday.

?Starting this year, Mifa can start production with full capacity of 3 million tons,? he said.

Mifa, which is indirectly owned by IDX-listed PT ABM Investama Tbk, owns a 3,134 coal concession in Meureubo, West Aceh, with estimated reserves of 216 million tons, and coal calorific value of 3,440 kcal/kg, with low sulfur. (*)
