ABM Investama delivers higher coal output

IDX-listed integrated coal mining company PT ABM Investama Tbk produced 6.7 million tons of coal last year, which is slightly higher than 6 million tons produced in the previous year.

Company Finance Director Adrian Erlangga told Petromindo.com on Wednesday that the 2015 production was line with the target range of 6.5-7 million tons.

ABM, through its subsidiaries, operates coal concessions in South Kalimantan and Aceh.

For this year, Adrian said the company will focus on power plant projects. He said the company has allocated US$45 million for capital expenditure this year to help finance the projects, but added that the amount can increase if the power plant projects can be accelerated. He did not provide details.
