ABM Investama?s Aceh coal concession to start production in January 2014

IDX-listed integrated coal mining company PT ABM Investama Tbk expects its Media Djaya Bersama (MDB) coal concession in Aceh, owned by subsidiary PT Reswara Minergi Hartama, to start commercial production in January of 2014.

Reswara is currently in the process of completing the construction of necessary infrastructure facilities such as conveyor belt and jetty at the mine site. About 60 percent of the planned infrastructure facilities have been completed, Reswara President Director Harry Asmar told Petromindo.com Wednesday.

Harry said that the coal mine is expected to produce about 150,000 tons per month. ?We?ll further increase the production capacity later on,? he said.

Aside from the Aceh concession, Reswara also owns a concession in South Kalimantan called Tunas Inti Abadi (TIA), which has been targeted to produce 4.5 million tons of coal this year.
