IDX-listed integrated coal mining company PT ABM Investama has recently reshuffled the top management of its two subsidiaries, coal firm PT Reswara Minergi Hartama and coal mining services firm PT Cipta Kridatama.
On May 4, ABM assigned Irfan Setiaputra as the new President Director of Reswara, which operates coal mines in Aceh and South Kalimantan, replacing Feriwan Sinatra. Meanwhile, Feriwan was reappointed as the new President Director of Cipta Kridatama, replacing Irfan.
Irfan claimed that a smooth tour of duty is unique in the mining industry. "The goal of the tour of duty is to improve the financial performances of both companies," he said to Petromindo.com on the sidelines of the 23rd Coaltrans Asia in Bali on Monday.
Irfan said that the rotation between top officials of coal miner and mining contractor in a group is usually not a smooth process. "Generally, there will be dispute in the management of these companies. But it has not occurred in ABM," he said.
Irfan also unveiled that strong relationship, both professional and personal, between Feriwan and him are the main factors of the success of smooth tour of duty in ABM.
