ABM seeks to acquire power plant

IDX-listed integrated energy company PT ABM Investama Tbk is seeking to acquire a power plant, either coal or gas-fired, in a bid to expand the combined capacity of its power plant business.

ABM Director Yovie Priadi said Monday that the company was looking for a power plant with capacity of between 100-200 MW, either located in Kalimantan, Sulawesi, or Sumatra, the islands where the company?s businesses are present including coal mines.

He added that the company has allocated capital expenditure of US$200 million this year to help finance the planned acquisition. He did not provide further details.
