ABM to acquire mine-mouth power plant in Aceh

Indonesia listed integrated coal mining company PT ABM Investama Tbk expects the ongoing talks on acquisition of a mine-mouth power plant in Aceh with capacity of 12 MW be completed this year.

?We are still in talks (on the acquisition of the mine-mouth power plant). Once we operate our mining in Aceh, we would also increase the capacity of the power plant,? ABM corporate Strategy Director Yovie Pribadi told Petromindo.com, adding that the capacity could be boosted up to between 25 MW and 50 MW.

According to Yovie, electricity generated from the mine-mouth power plant would be distributed to the local people living nearby the mining area.
