Coal mining company PT Adimitra Baratama Nusantara (ABN), a subsidiary of IDX-listed PT Toba Bara Sejahtra Tbk, has secured a contract to supply coal to Taiwan Power Company for six years.

Marketing Director Michael Soerijadji told Petromindo.com recently that ABN will supply 500,000 tons per year starting in 2015. "The contract has been signed a couple of weeks ago," Michael explained without elaborating the value of the contract.

ABN operates coal concession in Sanga-Sanga, near Samarinda, the provincial capital of East Kalimantan. The ABN mine is an open-pit, truck and shovel operation. With a relatively low stripping ratio and very close proximity to port, ABN ranks as one of the lowest cost producers of sub-bituminous and bituminous thermal coal in Indonesia.
