Philippines? AC Energy Holdings Inc. and its partner UPC Renewables Indonesia Ltd. hope to complete a wind farm project located in Indonesia?s South Sulawesi Province in the first quarter of 2018.
AC Energy, a subsidiary of Ayala Corp, said on Monday as quoted by reports in the Philippines that the construction of the power plant project, which will be Indonesia?s first utility-scale wind farm, which has a capacity of 75MW, is almost 70 percent complete.
The joint venture firm has started installing 30 Gwind turbine generators since August this year, the reports said. The windfarm project is being developed by PT UPC Sidrap Bayu Energi, a special purpose vehicle owned by AC Energy and UPC Renewables.
AC Energy has been expanding its footprint in the Southeast Asian region.
Apart from this wind farm project, AC Energy holds a 20 percent stake in Star Energy B.V., which acquired Chevron?s geothermal operations in Indonesia.
