To help resolve uncertainty over the operatorship of Pase PSC, the Aceh administration is inviting potential partners in a verification process, the winner of which will team up with a company owned by the regional government to operate the block.

At present, previous operator Triangle Pase Inc manages the block. The company, a unit of Australia-listed oil and gas firm Triangle Energy (Global) Limited, has been allowed to manage the block by BPMIGAS, despite the fact its contract expired in February, due to the failure of Aceh administration to come up with a decision on who will take up the operatorship.

In an announcement, the administration said that interested potential partners must submit corporate documents to Aceh Head of Mining and Energy Office before 16.00 pm on October 3.

Triangle has operated the Pase Production Sharing Contract which covers an area of 922 km2 in Aceh since June 2009 .
