Aceh miners obtain export permits

Three mining companies based in Aceh including PT Lhoong Setia Mining in Aceh Besar, KSU Tiga Manggis, and PT Pinang Sejati Wati in South Aceh have obtained permits from the ministry of trade to export iron ores, Tribunnews.com reported on Monday.
The head of the mining department at the Aceh provincial office, Said Ikhsan said on Friday that PT Lhoong Setia Mining was given a quota to export 450,000 tons of iron ore. The company?s export permit is valid only until April 30.
KSU Tiga Manggis was also given a quota until April 22, 2013 to export 300.000 ton of iron ores, while PT Pinang Sejati Wati was allowed to export up to 1.2 million tons of iron ores until April 22, 2013.
Said said that the three companies, which export their iron ores to China and Malaysia, are required to report their export progress to the mining department of the Aceh provincial office. (*)
