ACG to start exploration in South Bengara II Block

Adelphi Continental Geopetro (ACG) said it would start exploration drillings in South Bengara II Block later this month.

?We?re currently mobilizing all needed units of equipment to the location,? ACG Field Superintendent Yoyok Harsono said in Berau, over the weekend.

He said that the potential reserve of gas in the block is estimated at about 400 to 600 billion cubic feet (BCF). ?If successful to get an economical reserve, then it will be a boon to the local people and local economy. We, therefore, hope that all sides will support this exploration activities so that it can be implemented as planned,? he said.

Berau Regent Makmur stated that his local administration will be committed to facilitating the process of implementing the exploration in the region. ?The success of finding new reserve will not only create new jobs, but also it will create new business opportunities,? he said.

Upstream authority SKK Migas Kalimantan-Sulawesi Representative Head Ngatijan said that everything is now ready to start the exploration. ?We really hope that ACG will manage to find a new reserve there as we?ve planned,? he said.
