Adani starts shipment from E. Kalimantan coal mine

Indian firm Adani Group has commenced first coal shipping from its mine in Bunyu island, East Kalimantan on Tuesday, Kaltim Post reported on Thursday.
The vessel, loaded with some 50,000 tonnes of low CV coal will be heading for India, Engineering Manager Didi Marsono said. He said the company is targeting to export to three vessels of coal in 2008, ramping up to 5-8 vessels per month next year.
The company?s unit PT.Adani Global, operates a mine in a 1,000-hectares of concession in the island.(*)
