Adani to triple E. Kalimantan coal production

PT Adani Global, a unit of Indian conglomerate Adani Group is planning to triple coal production capacity to 10 million tonnes per annum from its East Kalimantan mine starting 2012/13, a company official said.
Manager Project Facilitation Didi Marsono said that the mine, which is located in Bunyu Island, is on track to produce 3.5 million tonnes in April 2009-March 2010 period ramping up to 4 MT in 2010/11 6MT in 2011/12.
He said Adani will soon quadruple belt conveyor capacity to 2,000 tonnes per hour.
He also said that the company?s Bunyu mine will export 3 million tonnes of coal this year to India. (denny)
