Adaro appoints Budi Rachman as COO

IDX-listed energy firm PT Adaro Energy Tbk has appointed Budi Rachman as Chief Operating Officer (COO) of its South Kalimantan-based coal mining unit PT Adaro Indonesia (AI), Indonesia?s single largest coal producing mine.

Budi was formerly VP Director of Adaro?s mining contractor unit PT Saptaindra Sejati (SIS), His main responsibility will be managing the day to day mining operations and maintaining the highest standard of safety, Adaro said.

Budi has over 30 years of experience in mining operations in Indonesia . Prior to joining SIS in 2000, he worked in various senior operational positions at PAMA and Freeport Indonesia. He holds a degree in Mining Engineering from the Institute Technology Bandung (ITB).

Adaro has also appointed Priyadi, formerly AI?s GM of Operations, to now assume the role of Chief External Affair Officer at AI.
