Adaro denies charges of not realizing community development program

Coal mining firm PT Adaro has denied charges of not realizing its community development program.

The Banjarmasin Post didn't provide the full name of the company and its mining location.

Adaro official Siswani (ed: one name) said that the company had channeled its funding to help improve the welfare of the local community by providing assistance for local agriculture development, improving water canals, and constructing a dam.

Siswani also said that there had been no embezzlement in the company's community development fund.

Local legislators have earlier accused Adaro of not realizing its community development program and suspected that there's been a fraud in the channeling of the fund. (*)
