Adaro, IP to team up in E. Kalimantan mine mouth power plant project

PT Adaro Power, a subsidiary of IDX-listed coal giant PT Adaro Energy Tbk, said it will team up with PT Indonesia Power (IP), a subsidiary of state-owned electricity firm PT PLN, to jointly develop a 2x100 MW mine mouth coal-fired power plant in East Kalimantan.

Adaro Power President Director Mohmad Effendi said on Friday that IP will hold a 51 percent stake in the joint venture project, while Adaro 49 percent.

He said that feasibility study on the planned project is in progress. No further details were provided.
