Adaro on track to meet this year's production target

Indonesia?s top coal mining firm PT Adaro Indonesia is on track to produce 24 million tons of coal this year after it book second quarter production of 6.137 million tons, slightly lower than previous quarter?s production of 6.164 million tons.

?Production is running smoothly despite unfavorable weather in the first semester because hauling road is already hardened,? said Administration Manager Priyadi.

The company had earlier said within the next few years, it would stay at 24 MTPA production level and would focus more to serve its existing customers, as it was already fully book throughout 2004.

Adaro currently has large customers basis in Indonesia and overseas and sells 95 percent of its product in long-term contract.

Adaro operates a huge coalmine in South Kalimantan.(godang)
