Adaro on track to reach 2010 production traget

South Kalimantan coal miner PT Adaro Indonesia (AI) produced 11.36 million tonnes of coal in the first quarter of 2010, higher than 9.04 million tonnes it produced in the same quarter last year, parent company PT Adaro Energy Tbk (AE) said on Friday.

Director and Corporate Secretary Andre Mamuaja told reporters that AI is on track to produce 45-46 million tonnes of coal this year.

Meanwhile, AI?s sister company PT Indonesia Bulk Terminal (IBT) that runs a coal terminal in Pulau Laut, South Kalimantan, is expected to increase throughput this year to 6 million tonnes from 4.64 million tonnes last year.
