Adaro plans to develop solar power plant

IDX-listed coal giant PT Adaro Energy Tbk plans to develop a 50 MW solar power plant, with estimated investment of US$75 million, in South Kalimantan, Bisnis Indonesia reported on Tuesday.

Head of Corporate Communication Division at Adaro Febriati Nadira said that the project will help support the government?s program to develop renewable sources of energy and power plant outside Java.

?Investment (requirement) is US$1.5 million per MW, which means total investment will be $75 million for 50 MW,? Febriati told the paper, but did not provide further details. (*)
