Adaro reports H1 production increase

IDX-listed integrated coal mining group PT Adaro Energy reported on Friday that its South kalimantan coal mine unit PT Adaro Indonesia produced 21.62 million tonnes of coal during the fisrt half of 2010, 20 percent higher that production of same period last year.

The Company also reported that H12010 sales reached 21.75 million tonnes or 22 percent higher than last year.

?There was unprecedented high level of rainfall in this second quarter and especially in June, the highest in the last seven years. Despite the adverse unseasonal wet weather and challenging working conditions, Adaro continues to focus on reaching 45Mt production this year. If the high rainfall continues into the second half of 2010, it might impact Adaro production target adversely,? the Company said. (alex)
