Adaro?s coal production may reach 50 million tons

PT Adaro Energy Tbk is upbeat that its production will reach 50 million tons this year as up to the middle of June the output has already reached 25 million tons, or one half of the target, Investor Daily reported on Monday.

The company?s President Director Garibaldi Thohir said during the first semester the company faced no significant problems in conducting production activities.

?Activities during the first semester were okay. Production volume and prices were both stable,? he said, confirming that the production target during the first half was on track.

Garibaldi said that as all the production would be used to meet the company?s long-term contracts with both local and foreign buyers, the level of the output and prices had been determined in advance. (*)
