Adaro's land reclamation questioned

Head of the Attorney General office in South Kalimantan Zukri Karimin questioned the work made by coal mining firm PT Adaro in the reclamation of its ex-mining sites.

Zukri doubted whether Adaro had complied to the existing procedure because many of the ex-mining sites had become a "lake."

He was quoted by the Banjarmasin Post as saying that he would summon the environmental watchdog boy and the provincial office of the ministry of mines and energy to make a cross check.

Zukri vowed to take strong action against Adaro if the company was proven to have violated the existing rulings. (*)
