The company?s administration manager for administrative affairs Priyadi said Wednesday that the mining operation resumed on Monday but the South Kalimantan Mining Office and the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources have kept the company?s blasting activities under strict supervision.
However, Priyadi denied a report by a local daily that an investigation team from the central and province?s mining office has recommended the replacement of the company?s general manager Putu Sastrawan following the fatal incident.
?No, none has been laid off (following the incident),? he told Petromindo.com.
Banjarmasin Post reported Monday that an investigation team from the central and province?s mining office has recommended the replacement of the company?s general manager Putu Sastrawan, who also chairs technical affairs division, as a statement of accountability for the fatal incident that killed two workers.
Deputy Head of the South Kalimantan?s mining office Haryo Zani Dharma, who is also a team member, was quoted by the daily as saying that a letter of recommendation regarding the replacement of Adaro Indonesia?s general manager was addressed to Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources through the Central Directorate of Mining.
He said that the team has also proposed the objection to the company?s plan to increase production capacity as a form of sanction given to a mining company in violation of the mining regulation.
The team would also take part in controlling the mining process, especially blasting activities conducted by PT Pama, PT Buma, PT RA and PT SIS.
According to Haryo, PT Pama will resume the mining operation on Wednesday but the company has not yet been allowed to conduct blasting activities. (godang)
