IDX-listed coal giant PT Adaro Energy Tbk will continue to develop more coal-fired power plants as it seeks to make power generation as one of its main business pillars, but the company will also look for opportunities to develop other fuel type of power plants such as gas-fired.
?Adaro will continue to focus on developing coal-fired power plants in Indonesia, but will also look for other opportunities outside coal-fired plants such as gas, solar, wind, etc,? said President Director of Adaro Energy, Garibaldi Tohir on the sidelines of a financial close ceremony on Tuesday for the planned 2x100 MW Tabalong coal-fired power plant project.
As has been previously reported, Adaro Energy through subsidiary PT Adaro Power, in partnership with Singapore?s Sembcorp Utilities, is participating in tenders for the PLTGU Jawa-Bali 3 and PLTGU Jawa-Bali 4 combined-cycle power plant projects.
Adaro Power is teaming up with PT East-West Power Indonesia, a subsidiary of South Korea?s East West Power in the Tabalong coal-fired power plant project in South Kalimantan which is targeted to be completed in 2019.
