Adaro sets up floating crane at Taboneo

South Kalimantan coalminer PT. Adaro Indonesia said it had erected floating crane at its Taboneo transshipment facility to substitute loading at South Pulau Laut Coal Terminal that was halted after a panamax hit the port?s facility Monday.

?One floating crane with loading capacity of 10,000 tons per day has already been erected at Taboneo on Tuesday and loading process had commenced,? Adaro?s admin manager Priyadi told Petromindo.Com Friday. He said one more crane would be erected within the next few days

Adaro declared force majeure on declared force majeure for its coal shipments loaded via South Pulau Laut Coal Terminal, which is operated by PT Indonesia Bulk Terminal (IBT), following a serious damage at the terminal's conveyor belt structures.

IBT official said it would take 4-6 weeks to repair the damage.

Adaro ships some 6 million tons per year of its coal from Pulau Laut.(godang)
