PT Adaro Energy Tbk (ADARO), an integrated energy company, said it will take part in a tender to develop a power plant with capacity of 2x100 MW in South Kalimantan.
Adaro's Director, Andrew J. Mamuaya, was quoted by Kontan daily as saying that PLN has estimated the power purchase price at 8.6 cent US dollar per kWh. The company will lodge its bid soon.
Adaro team up with East West Power of South Korea in bidding for the power plant project. Adaro holds 65 percent interest in the consortium and the balance is held by East West Power.
In the first tender process, Adaro is the only company that submitted a bid, therefore PLN decided to retender the project. Adaro will re-submit the bid documents at the end of October. (*)
