Adaro to start coal supply to CEP

CEP has started first firing of its power plant in October this year. At present, the power plant is gradually ramping up its coal consumption, the source said, adding that so far, the power plant is only using coal from Kideco, which has been supplying the fuel since April this year.
CEP has 1.85 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) coal supply contract with Kideco and 1 MTPA with Adaro under long-term supply contracts with price being renegotiable annually.
Kideco supplies coal with CV of 4,500-4,999 Kcal/kg (GAR) with sulfur content of 0.19%, while Adaro will supply coal with CV of 4,400-5,200 kcal/kg (GAR) with sulfur content of 0.19%.
CEP was established in April, 2007 with ownership shared amongst Japanese giant firm Marubeni, Korean firm Komipo, Indonesian firm PT Tripatra Engineering and Korean firm Samtan at 32.5 percent, 27.5 percent, 20 percent and 20 percent respectively. (denny)
