Adaro ups coal output in June

Coal mining company PT Adaro Indonesia said its output slightly increased to 1.53 million tons in June, from 1.49 million tons the previous month.

Company administration manager Priyadi said the company targeted a monthly output of between 1.5 million and 1.6 million tons this month.

Cumulative output for the second quarter of the year reached 4,45 million tons, as against 3.98 million tons in the first quarter of the year.

Adaro, a consortium of Australian, Dutch and Indonesian investors, which operates in Hulu Sungai Utara Regency, South Kalimantan, is the country?s largest coal producer with an annual output of 15.48 million tons last year. (Godang)
