UK-based Transense Technologies plc, a provider of sensor systems for transportation and industrial markets, announced that its trading division, Translogik has received an initial order for its iTrack Tyre temperature and pressure monitoring systems for mining and off-the-road vehicles ("iTrack") from its Indonesian distributor, AutoRFID Solutions Sdn Bhd.

The iTrack system will be installed as part of a pilot scheme on three of the 168 vehicles at the ADARO mine in Indonesia, one of AutoRFID's clients. The ADARO mine is expanding its operations and expects to be running more than 300 vehicles by the end of 2014.

iTrack will allow mine operators to track their vehicles in real-time and receive early warning of potential problems or hazards.

Ahilan Thiyagarajah, Managing Director of AutoRFID commented, "We have been working with Translogik for some time, promoting its tyre inspection products within the Malaysian and Indonesian markets. We acquired an iTrack evaluation system some months ago and are very impressed with the system. The recent validation and adoption of iTrack in South Africa has enabled us to close our first sale. It has also led to a significant increase in enquiries about the system from our Indonesian mining industry clients.?

?We believe that Indonesia is a substantial iTrack sales opportunity, with a potential market of several thousand vehicles. Our existing clients alone operate approximately 1,500 suitable off -the-road vehicles and this will be our initial focus following this first order."
