Adavale appoints Indonesian coal ops CEO

Australian firm Adavale Resources Ltd announced on Wednesday that it has appointed Marshall Cooper to act as the Chief Executive Officer of Adavale?s Indonesian Coal Operations.

Cooper is an Australian citizen who has been living and working in Indonesia and Southeast Asia for the past 22 years. Since 1997 he has been employed by Indonesian conglomerate Lippo Group including as Chief Executive Advisor to the Chairman of Lippo Group Mining ? Indonesia for the past four years. As Chief Advisor to the Chairman his role included the development of the mining business unit, and covered all aspects of the industry including acquisitions of projects, establishment of exploration programs, mergers and acquisitions, development and funding plans and positioning the mining business unit as the future leader of the Lippo Group.

He has been CEO of various business units for the Lippo Group while holding various director roles in public listed companies of the the Lippo Group and will continue to maintain these current board positions and advisory roles.

Adavale has in April 2011 signed JV agreement on 8 coal concessions totaling 24,400 hectares in East and South Kalimantan through its Indonesian unit PT Adavale Nusantara Resources. (romel)
