Adavale inks deal on Tapan thermal coal project

ASX-listed firm Adavale Resources Limited reported on Monday that it had inked agreement with thermal coal project Tapan in West Sumatra and completed the acquisition of parent company - PPA.

Adavale has carried out exploration on Tapan project, including geodetic and topographical surveys, geological mapping, drilling and geophysical logging which was managed by local consulting group, ADA Strategic.

ADA Strategic has generated a JORC compliant resource of 9.05 million tonnes made up of up of 2.l5 Mt measured, 1.5Mt indicated and 5.4Mt inferred.

AXS-listed firm, Adavale is engaged in mining exploration. The Company is focused on its exploration around coal projects in Indonesia and on the Lake Surprise Uranium project in South Australia.

The company said that initial program in Tapan project was carried out in less than 20 percent of concession area with the drilling and logging program to expand the resource was planned to commence as soon as a drilling rig is available.

Adavale said that it continued to work with concession owners, mines department and Tapan Regent to extend the area of the current holding and is in process of discussing areas totaling 13,000 ha.

Port surveys, river draft surveys and haul road and port engineering studies were also completed. Following completion of the JORC report, ADA Strategic submitted initial mine plans and models. (alex)
