The Asian Development Bank (ADB) said on Tuesday it had approved a US$150,000 technical assistance (TA) grant for a study of the investment climate and productivity in Indonesia.
?The goal is to improve the business environment and contribute to poverty reduction,? ADB said in statement, adding that the executing agency of the TA was the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs.
According to ADB the study will survey firms to: examine the constraints to private investment and productivity growth, compare Indonesia's competitiveness and productivity with other countries, and identify ways to remove the impediments
ADB further said the results of the study would guide policymakers in enhancing the climate for investment and productivity, making it possible for Indonesia to catch up with the leaders in international competitiveness. (*)
