ADERA?s oil production reaches 2,000 bpd

Oil company ADERA, the subsidiary of Pertamina EP, has hit production level of 2,000 barrels per day (bpd) following the optimalization of the production activities at the company?s several wells.

ADERA?s general manager Christian HP Siahaan said that the optimalization of the production activities were carried out through the reopening of the RJA-50 well, the shifting of the production layer at the RJA 121 well and the drilling of the DWA 63 well.

He said that the reopening of the RJA-50 well produced 116 bpd, the shifting of production layer at the RJA-121 well produced 305 bpd while the drilling of the DWA-63 well produced 3.6 million standard cubic feet per day (mmscfd).

Christian said that the produdction of several other wells such as Abab, Dewa and Raja also showed a signicant increase reaching 1,800 bpd thanks to optimalization works. He said that the production hit 2,000 bpd on Nov. 23, the highest production level since the company took over the oil wells from JOB Leko Maras in April 23, 2009. ?Leko Maras produced only about 1,200 bpd,? he added.

By the end of December 2011, Pertamina EP planned to reopen three more wells including ABB-46, DWA-34, and RJA-1 wells, repairing of DWA -48, RJA-123 wells and resume recompletion of DWA-63 well. (romel)
