Adi Soemarno Solo Airport to operate new terminal later this month

Adi Soemarno Solo Airport will operate new terminal in June 2019, which will enable the airport to serve more flights, an official of the airport operator said.
"The plan is to start operating (the new terminal) in June," General Manager of Angkasa Pura I Adi Soemarno Airport, Abdullah Usman, was quoted by Antara news agency as saying on Friday.
He said the airport operator will invite aircraft operators as well as potential tenants to visit the new terminal.
The new terminal was built on 13,000 square meters of land. The new terminal can serve 3,600 passengers per day.
With the operation of new terminal, the Adi Soemarno Solo airport increases its capacity to serving 22,000 passengers per day.
To support the airport, the government plans to operate the newly built airport train in September this year. (*)
