PT Adimitra Baratama Nusantara (ABN), a mining subsidiary of PT Toba Bara Sejahtera Tbk, signed on May 29, 2015 a service contract with PT Cipta Kridatama (CK), a subsidiary of mining integrated company PT ABM Investama Tbk on coal mining in Sangasanga area, Kutai Kartanegara regency, East Kalimantan

The five-year contract is valued around US$396 million, Toba Bara said in a statement on Monday.

It was signed by Hamid Awaluddin and Sudirdjo Widjaja, who are the president director and director of ABN respectively, and Irfan Setiaputra, the president director of Cipta Kridatama.

The scope of works to be carried out by Cipta Kridatama includes overburden removal, ripping, loading, transporting, waste treatment, construction and maintenance of waste hauling road and mining water control.

Cipta Kridatama was chosen because it meets several criteria, including its experience as coal mining contractor, its track record, the capability of its human resources and the capacity of its equipment.

Cipta Kridatama replaced the previous contractor PT Petrosea Tbk. The replacement is in line with the firm?s efficiency program, the firm said.

ABN has a 2990 ha concession which holds a reserve of around 156 million tons. Holding the IUP Operation and Production License, the firm has been operating since September 2008.
